He engineered at KHEY and did a lot of stuff with a lot of the local bands including our (I Fought the Law) Bobby Fuller. He moved to LA and had a long successful audio career there and moved on to Denver area where he is Audio Video consultant. It was nice to here from him. **** Wailing Wall We are working with Rockadelic Records on a second vinyl release targeted for release in late summer on the group Wailing Wall. In doing the research, I came across Doug Adams; Darrell Adams and David Rutledge three of the four original members of Wailing Wall. The Adams brothers are alive and well the San Francisco Bay area . Happy to say, they are both still heavy into the music making. David Rutledge is in New Mexico outside of El Paso doing interesting musical projects, he is still a great writer and drummer. The forth Member, Mike Cancellari is in the Austin, Texas area playing first-rate-blues and if anyone is in touch with him please drop me a line. Rod Crosby Talked to Rod Crosby and he is doing well in El Paso. He quit the 8 to 5 world and is living the life of music. He has a state-of-the -art studio called Rosewood Studios and has been doing some significant sessions. One group he spoke of is "Sparta". They are making waves in the music world. Rod also has a sound company doing all the big gigs coming to El Paso. Jazzman Records puts Lou Pride track on compilation CD Jazzman Records from London England is putting out a CD of funk music from Texas circa 1970 recorded on small labels. Lou Pride's "There's Got to Be Someone for Me" is being included in the compilation.
COMING SOON!! * We are putting together a country compilation CD of many of the unique country acts that have recorded at Suemi Records over the years. ** Also, we are listening and formulating a jazz release as well. There were some fine jazz players in El Paso and in Memphis as well. *** Looking into live tapes of groups that played Lafayettes Music Room-Memphis: Kiss; Waylon Jennings; Chic Corea and Return To Forever"; Hoyt Axton; Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes; Phoebe Snow; Ramsey Lewis; Jerry Lee Lewis; Mary Mc Crary; Minnie Ripperton; Maria Mauldaur; Pure Prairie League; Niels Lofgren; Henry Gross; Susy Quatro; Ace Cannon; Tony Joe White NEWS FEB. 2005 hello folks, it has been a long time since I ventured into the dark regions of internet web updates. MIKE CICCARELLI Been talking to Mike Ciccarelli lately and he is well and happy in southern Calif. He jams with Randy Fuller some, he played bass for a while and switched back to guitar. That is good, for he is one of the finest guitar players ever to come out of El Paso and folks, that is saying a lot. FRANK SOTELO Frankie Sotelo is happily married and running his own business. He has a studio at his house and has been recording some of the greats like Paul West, Pat Blanks, Jack Woodberry, Terry Wuznak. He wants to put some tunes here and I cant wait to here them. I got to jam with Jerry Miller (Moby Grape) in Tacoma, WA and as I talked to him he mentioned that he had played with Bobby Fuller band and while in El Paso, he went to The Lobby in Juarez and heard Long John Hunter. He said it changed his life and he brought that sound back to WA. Mike Ciccarelli played with Jerrys old band (The Wailers) in CA, what a small world. For those of you that write once in a while I appologise for not returning all you emails but I have a basic laxy streak in me.
