TO PURCHASE HC-104 "LODE STAR"

 

 

 

 

 Lode Star was Frankie Sotelo, Paul West and Andre Boniguidi.  They had been friends and group members starting at an early age at Austin High School in El Paso.  They went by many names including "The Frantic Four"; "Lode Star"; and later on "Swift Rain". Like a lot of groups on Suemi Records, the musicians of El Paso seemed to intermingle frequently forming new versions of the unique El Paso sound.  Lode Star was a name given these guys just for a release called 'I Love You Gorgo".  FYI: this LP is definitely a collectors item as I have talked to dealers at record conventions that all seem to know of this LP.  We pressed only 300 copies and they have managed to circulate around the globe.  The bootleg copy even fetches a good price. Once again; bootlegs suck!!!

Frankie, Paul and Andre shared in the singing and songwriting.  A former member, Pat Blanks, played and wrote Glympses . I wish we had been able to record more of him because he was a killer guitar player. All three of the original member are in El Paso today  and I believe they play occasionally. I always liked these tracks and I hope you do as well.
